Overview
Porsche launched its first Canadian Experience Centre, located in Toronto, Ontario (PECTO), and they wanted to create an unforgettable grand opening to show people what they can expect from the brand new PECTO. So they decided to partner with TK Events, who contacted Go2 Productions to create a projection mapping show as part of the full grand opening event experience.
Execution:
For this milestone event, Porsche partnered with TK Events, which brought in Go2 Productions to design and deliver a custom projection mapping show. The content of the show was displayed on the main façade of the brand-new facility as part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The grand opening event also featured a live driving demonstration, with Porsche GT3RS and other models showcasing high-speed performance and precision drifting on the newly opened circuit.
The projection mapping multimedia show highlighted how the new Porsche Experience Centre is a place where visitors can explore and experience the brand through driving their cars to witness its performance and capabilities across multiple driving circuits, while also enjoying lifestyle amenities like a café, a lifestyle shop, and advanced driving simulators.
Results
The projection mapping elevated the grand opening, aligning the production value with Porsche’s reputation for luxury and innovation. Guests were fully engaged, and the show reinforced the Porsche Experience Centre as both a premium destination and a celebration of the Porsche lifestyle.
Why It Stands Out
This project demonstrates the impact of outdoor projection mapping to amplify a brand experience. By integrating large-scale visuals with live automotive demonstrations, the show brought Porsche’s identity in a bold and immersive way. The event proved that the Porsche Experience Centre is a place where people can truly feel and experience the brand.
