We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Interactive Coder / Experiential Developer to join us on a freelance basis. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with producers to develop project briefs and bring client visions to life.
• Work with the creative team to prepare design concepts using industry-standard software.
• Contribute to the technical design and development of immersive environments and user experiences.
• Design and produce animated menus and apps for interactive installations.
• Write code and test the functionality of interactive projects, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Integrate sensor data and manage remote systems effectively.
• Engage in the design and production of both real-world and screen-based applications.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Media Design, Media Development, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a related role.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of programming languages/tools such as Python, RESTful API, JSON, HTML/CSS, Swift, Objective C, OSC, C++, and Javascript.
• Experience with QLab, Arena (or similar), Arduino, iOS Development, TouchDesigner, or openFrameworks
• Familiarity with BAAS systems, SMTP/Mailchimp automation, and online database management.
• Ability to integrate sensor data into projects.
• Experience with remote systems management (e.g., Windows RDP clients).
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in an onsite event situation.
